We are in this Together

During these unprecedented times, we are all trying to stay safe, check on friends and family and think about jobs and futures. This pandemic has created unparalleled challenges - many of which disproportionately impact women. However, as West Virginians – by birth or by choice – we can lean on one another and draw on our networks to get through these times. Just helping one another as we sift through rafts of information can be useful.

Not surprising, some of you have already stepped up with your recommended resources. Below are ideas that you have shared. Feel free to send your favorite suggestions.

Working parents now are balancing working from home and home-schooling, while dealing with the anxiety and stress. Many people are also facing uncertainty in their jobs or futures. Still others are facing mental health and addiction challenges. In this newsletter, we'll begin with education and dependent care resources and move to job and income support.
